Continuing with Tuesday's museum theme, today's post is about living with art. This apartment by a prominent L.A. collector blurs the line between gallery and home with its use of palette, lighting, and layout. Vance Burke, the project's interior designer, notes, "...the client had no desire to live in a pristine gallery. We still had to conceive an individual identity for the apartment that reflects her spirit." Mission accomplished? There is a definite distinction between the art spaces, like the gallery corridor and vestibule, and private spaces like the bedroom (all shown below). Do you find this gallery-like home livable?
