Interiors: Ryan Korban's Sexy Chic Apartment

Ryan Korban's NYC Apartment

I'm not sure how a room can ooze sex appeal, but Ryan Korban achieves it with every design. I suppose it's his choice of furnishings and accessories, their color and texture. Fur is always a must, as are taxidermy and incredibly shiny objects. They all work together so well.

Ryan's apartment is a testament to this approach. Gorgeous and gray all over, the space is rife with sexy things, including but certainly not limited to monochromatic artwork, a stuffed zebra, and probably one of the best lamp collections I've ever seen.

Though primarily a self-taught decorator, Desiré studied at The Art Institute, where she honed a distinct aesthetic largely influenced by the Modern Glamour movement, the theme of her popular design blog, Sukio. Not only is she considered a "closet fashionista," discreetly stashing handbags and shoes whenever possible, but, as an MIT graduate, she’s also an undercover nerd. Fashion, nerdom, and several years as a Washingtonian have combined to shape her unique perspective on interior design.
