During my recent foray into Instagram, I stumbled upon Eye Swoon's Q&A with Sukio-favorite Kelly Wearstler. Amongst drink recipes and pics of her signature bar accessories, the style maven dishes on everything from daily habits to her design philosophy. For Ms. Wearstler, it seems elements of good design should come together like a tasty cocktail:

"There has to be a balance of elements in the spaces I design. Striking the right alchemy is where the magic happens... The juxtaposition of new and old, masculine and feminine, raw and refined - the tension of opposites I find to be very sexy. It adds a certain drama and vibrancy to a space."
