The Set, The Shoot: Cate Blanchett for Vogue US
It's The Set, The Shoot, a series that explores the fabulous interiors behind fashion editorials and campaigns!
The Set: Pembridge home by Peter Mikic
Well, well, well. It seems Vogue has combined one of my favorite actresses and one of my favorite design projects into a glamorous editorial fit for the new year. I'm sure you've seen this space before, the London home of Peter Mikic. The silk wall coverings alone induce serious swoonage, and with gorgeous custom pieces (light fixtures, rugs, seating, and more), this home far from resembles its dilapidated former self.
The Shoot: Cate Blanchett for Vogue US, January 2014
Cate Blanchett shimmers in looks by Dolce & Gabana, Armani Privé, and Nina Ricci for Vogue's January cover story. Golden tones echo the luster of brass accents and luxurious textiles found throughout the home's interiors.

When discussing his approach to design, Mikic notes,"I often draw from my experience in the fashion world, using texture, color, and proportion, layering pieces as I would with an outfit." How fitting that his home would become a favorite among fashion scouters, including those for Liu Jo and Vogue Ukraine. I just love when fashion and interiors come together so seamlessly!
